Why
music theory?
Several guitarists only play
by ear. There is nothing
wrong with that. Birds sing
forever and can not read music. However, it is imperative to
have a basic knowledge of music.
Do you know the
difference between the tones and semitones?
Would you be able to explain exactly what a flat, a sharp, a
minor, a majore, a seventh chord, decreased or increased.
Why a guitar has six strings not five or seven?
Do You
know the difference between a chromatic scale and a pentatonic
scale? Do you know the different
modes Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian,
Locrian.
Do you know how 1-4-5 chords
progression?
